Make a Silk Handkerchief Magically Appear From Thin Air

Preparation: This magic trick works best with long sleeved shirt or jacket, and a silk handkerchief.  First Roll the silk handkerchief up into a ball and pull your left sleeve up just enough to make a fold at the crook in your arm.  Hide the handkerchief under the fold and bend your left arm just slightly so the handkerchief stays hidden where you put it.  Now you are ready to perform the magic trick.

Holding your hands up in front of the audience to show that your hands are empty as you explain that when you make things appear out of thin air many people accuse you of having something hidden up your sleeve as you say this your are showing both sides of your hands.

So you tell them that now you are going to prove that there is nothing up your sleeves.  First you take your left hand and reach over and pull your right sleeve up, so it’s obvious that nothing is there.  Then you take your right hand and reach over to pull your left sleeve up.  As you do you grab your sleeve right where the handkerchief is hidden and secretly pull it into your had being careful not to let anyone see what you are doing.

Then bring your hands together and blow on them and slowly and dramatically make the handkerchief appear as if out of thin air from between your two hands.
